here is the deal. I have had my new tank setup for about a year. I am not happy with the aquascaping. I want to take all the rock out and redo it. My questions is what would be the best way to redo everything and to avoid alot of loss.

What exactingly do you me by redo everything? How much live stock do you have?

Browse through the "All SPS Tanks" sticky in the SPS forum to get an idea of how you want to do your rock and go to town.

Use Rubbermaid tubs to put your rock in, avoid disturbing the sand as much as possible, and avoid squishing anyone in the tank and redue your rock. If need be you can do a water change. You won't crash your tank just by moving the rock around as long as the rock is relatively moist it can be out of the water for an hour or so with no problems.

I have about 25 fish and about 400lbs of rock. I want to take a good bit of rock out and redo the rock to give it a more open feel. I also have about 75 colonys of sps as well. I have 2 300 gallon rubbermade tanks I can tracnfer alot of the water and rock in . I can put the fish in my frag tank. Just didnt want to crash my sand bed and stuff ya know

Definately remove all the corals. This could be an all day event so use heaters and powerheads. I love re-aquascaping, but it takes a long time.
