Need your input for NARC May Meeting

Hi y'all,

WEEC says that they are willing to host us in May or June. I recall NicoleC mentioned hosting us in the near future. I don't know if she has settled in her new place enough to host us in May (any comment, Nicole?). CRA is always willing to host us, too, possibly letting us hold a small regional frag swap in their new building (not quite ready yet for that though - maybe in a few months.)

So I need your response/input on the meeting place in May. If you would rather visit some shop in the area together as a group (possibly scoring a group discount), please mention that here, too.

Here's their website address: http://www.weec.dcs.edu/

They have two large indoor aquatic set-up's (fresh water and salt water) in addition to their outdoor ponds and marsh land. It's part of Decatur school system and not open to general public, but they always accomodate us kindly (coming out on their off days.)

It would be a nice mothers day outing for me. It looks like a place the kids would enjoy.
We can not make it the 19th.

Hi y'all,

I just talked with WEEC and they said 11:00 am on 19th.

If you have never visited the place, it's really a treat. Their equipment room is really impressive. I understand that Tennessee Aquarium helped them design and set up their system.
You can get as much chaeto as you want for free. You can probably help them thin out their GSP and xenia colony, too. You can probably get some tiny mysis shrimp and micro brittle stars for your fuge, too.

Any idea for activity besides looking at their system?
We can do a frag trade, too, if you'd like.
Any request for a demo of some sort? You can show off some new idea/contraption/equipment, too.

Frag swap could be good, and getting some mysis & brittle stars.

I could bring a Vortech power head if anyone want to see one in action.

I would like some frags but not this time, no where to put them :) But I will ask them for some chaeto though since i do have the sump up and running with live rock.
