need your thoughts on 180 gallon

So I currently have a 90 rimmless reef and 125 gallon FOWLR, I am going to be breaking down the 125 and putting in a 180 gallon. I am using a 40 breeder for sump in the 125 and a NW 150 Skimmer. It will be a FOWLR, I know on the sump bigger the better but what is the smallest size I can get away with and I know I will need to get a bigger skimmer so also your thoughts on a skimmer.....

also may need to break this up into a different thread but I want to start fresh, meaning keeping the rock but cleansing it, had a small ich break out, have not seen it come back but I want to be safe than sorry. So your thoughts on that process as well it has been about 6 months when I last saw the outbreak

Thanks for the look....

Vinegar bath and then bleach the rock. That's what I did with my rock when I broke down my tank due to a hair algae outbreak. However you could probably get away with just bleach.

thanks for the reply, I was trying to stay away from bleaching or acid baths, I know it will kill anything and everything, what I was trying to do is dip it then use it and set it up. Then maybe not all the BB would die off, I know some will but that the fresh water would kill off the ich..is this plausible....

Figure out how much water will overflow into the sump, and then adjust baffle height if you need more room.
