As you know my mandarins have been spawning. Unfortunately the two spawns I was raising died at 2 and 2 1/2 weeks - both due to loss of oxygen (one my fault, the other we have not clue how it happened).
After speaking with the Shedd Aquarium, even though they have not been successful raising them they think I'm on the right track and suggested a few changes, so I am in need of a few items. Trying to keep costs at a minimum, but here is what I'm looking for:
a 20g long or larger tank (I'm using a 10g now)
live rock rubble (from systems that have not had ich, please)
Live Nano Plankton Culture
More tiny sized copepods
At one time I found someplace selling the nano culture in a disk form, but have not been able to find this as I have searched today.
If anyone is able to help out with any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated.
From my research, it seems it takes about 6-9 months for the fish to develop their colors, so availability if I'm successful is still a long way off.
