I have a pump & I have to chase the threads on the return side.:uzi:
I need a 1-1/4" pipe threader.
Any one by chance in the plumbing field here???

Vinny is it some thing you need done right away or can it wait for the meeting.I do have it but I would just have to fined time.Scott

Are the threads shot completely?

If they are just bunged up, sometimes a handful of wraps with some teflon tape can get it to grab properly to get you through for a while.

It's one of the new DC pumps and there are problems with threads on the return right from the factory.
Something I only found out afterwards.
Scott, I should have mentioned I need the die not the tap.

Vinny, If its pvc you can re-thread with a 1-1/4 steel threaded coupling. Then glue a schedule 80 pvc thread union. This way you will have a new female connect (schedule 80 union) that's easy to disconnect.
The die may not leave you with strong threads, hence use the union.

Good Luck,
Walter (Yes I'm still alive just very busy at work :-( )
