Needing composite suggestions?

For school we have a project that you pick a topic and then go snap photos, draw + scan, etc to make a composite. I wanted to do just taking a bunch of outdoor photos since environment is one of the topics.

You have to tell a story; it's a photo allegory. I just wanted to do one of those cool looking graphic design type of things where you just blend the pictures together.

However I can't figure out any ideas on a "story" to tell through pictures on environment.

Anyone have any cool suggestions on what to take pics of for this?

I figured I'd just walk around and take pics of trees, flowers (winter here  ) etc and blend them together to make something neat, but I don't know what story could be told with that.

Another topic was cityscape. I thought this one might be cool, too, if it is possible I can make it around town but I doubt it since I have to work the next few days after school.

I'm just stuck on ideas and any suggestions would be awesome!!
Thanks.

Going "green" is all the rage these days. While even I...a beach going, nature loving, environmentalist hippy, am getting sick of hearing the word, artsy fartsy photography instructors love that kind of stuff.

Pair your flowers with litter and cigarette butts discarded in the area.
Pair your trees with smoke stacks and a car tailpipe spewing carbon monoxide.
Pair your birds with 6-pack can holders (they get caught around the beak).
Pair your beautiful nature trails with depressing ill-kept industrial roads.

Photography is all about contrast, and telling a story is no different.

I like TS suggestions, you might want to also consider using a gradient fade from color to black and white with these themes.
