I have had this Nem for 6 days and it is all over the place....... it has not found any area it likes and is starting to drive me nuts I just placed it in the location below hoping it will find the sand and dig. Here are some pics and now his foot is up mouth down in the sand and I don't know what to do... Do I need to place a bowl over it for the night or just turn off my powerheads tonight so it wont get blown around.. I just don't know

In the picture of it upside down it sort of looks like there is a spot on the bottom of the foot -- is that the case? And/or could you get another picture of the foot.

Did you acclimate it to your lights? I like to use window screening (( can be placed on top of egg create )) b/t the lights and the tank. I have always used 3 layers with removing one layer each 5-7 days. Also, could try turning off the powerheads and digging a hole for it in the sandbed -- LTAs prefer to have their foot in the sandbed.

As for the foot, if you can't get a picture, does it look anything like this?

No I didn't acclimate to the lighting I will get some screening in the morning and try to help it out....

I hate to say it, but that first picture of the foot doesn't look good at all. I have had 3 LTAs come in with damage to their foot like that, and none of them made it.

Ouch!I would def try to keep every thing in best conditions! But I also hate to say it but it dont look to good. Also IMO,ur running ur halides to much i dont run mine for more than 6 hours a day!

well the Halides are now down too three hours with some screening.

The RBTA is huge but decided it needs to find a darker location and is on the move we will see.

The Purple LTA has not moved nor is it trying to dig in, I might lose it and this will make me sad. I had a thought of splitting it and seeing if the good side of the foot will live or not.....

When does one discard a NEM I don't want it to kill anything with it, to lose one is bad to lose all is a nightmare.
