Nem ID and clown/nem questions

Got this pretty nem at the MI frag swap back in February.

It's doing great and hasn't moved. My clownfish, Ms Chompers, found him after a couple weeks and she absolutely loves him. The problem is, he closes up every night and it seems to freak her out. He completely closes, just a little white nub on the rocks. She bops him with her nose for awhile and then gives up. I have a purple duncan with about 7 heads and when the nem closes, she tries to burrow into it. When it closes, she just hovers over the closed nem for the night.

Questions:
- Is this normal for the nem to close every night?
- Is this a weird looking bubble tip or some other type? The tips have never bubbled on this nem. They have always looked like this. Also, there's the flat, sparkly center that looks pretty unique.
- Does the nem look too small for Ms Chompers?
- Since she found this nem and would even take the duncan if she could, what are your thoughts on getting a different nem, a little larger? If so, what would you recommend?

Any and all other thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Many thanks!

To me it looks like a beautiful bubble tip, as for you other questions I'm sorry as I have not the largest amount off experience with nems

Some bubble tip anemones do ball up at night it's fine.
Looks normal to me most bubble tips lose their bubbles for an unknown reason in captivity. It is also a unique color morph congrats.
It's a bit small for Mrs chompers but as long as she's not being overly aggressive it should be okay. Overly aggressive would be pounding into it and making it close during the day or digging in its mouth etc.
If you are new to anemones a bubble tip is a great start. You could always get another bigger one if you are worried. If you feed it some mysis shrimp once or twice a week for awhile it will grow pretty fast though.

Thanks for the replies.
It is a great color and seems healthy and happy. He really seems to have the nem "personality" of... "i just do what i do regardless of anything else around me". It's the clown i'm concerned about. She really seems upset about not being able to sleep in the nem. She'll take the duncan even, just to have something to nestle into. But the duncan isn't having any of that nonsense.

Is there any rhyme or reason (or wild speculation) as to why some nems close up at night and others don't?
I thought about moving the hammer to make sure it's not trying to fight with the nem at night, but I haven't seen the hammer going after it. In a previous tank, I had a torch and bubble tip go at it for a week and eventually the nem decided to move. (That nem had bubble tips and never closed, except at feeding time.)

Thanks again.

Looks normal to me.

My RBTA gets stringy when the lights are off and balls up when its completely dark. During the day when the lights are on, it would get extremely bubbly and solid.
