Nem placement

I was given a RBTA by a friend of mine, about the size of a quarter. Doing well, regaining color, and eating well. It's in an acrylic tray in my BC 14, and I want to put it in the 30 I have going, however I worry he will kill the corals already grown in that tank. If I were to hang or elevate a piece of live rock for it to nest in do you guys thing that would keep him in one place until he settles? Something like a tripod out of rigid airline tubing to place the rock on and curb the wandering.

Pic for funsies.

That anemone is somewhat bleached...and second -you don't "place" anemones-they place themselves...keep up the TLC and it may recover fully and grow some...
Be prepared to let it find its own dwelling place...as long as its happy -it wont move much after it settles in.

FYI that Nem is bleached. Where ever you put that Nem it will move... Unless you put it where you don't want then it will never move.

My opinion. Dont worry about the corals BTAs have a weak sting. They have never killed any coral I've had. Set it on a rock away from the power heads. If the Nem get close to the power head move the power head so it doesn't climb in and get ground up.

Thanks guys, very definitely bleached. Far improved from when I received it though (almost no color, and tentacles where like pinheads, and not sticky at all when fed). Been feeding 3 times a week with shrimp/scallops, and it's about 3" from the surface at the moment. I'll move it over and see what happens and post up here.

I'd move the light not the Nem. To likely to damage it and in my experience the Nem will go where it thinks is best, often right back to where it was.
