Nem vs monti cap

GBTA on the move again...
My gbta has been in our tank for about a month and made about a one foot move about a week in. It has been in about the same area since then but was facing the back of the tank. Now it has moved to the front of the rock, but it is now touching the monti cap. Just how much damage is about to occur? I'd hate to risk damaging the monti trying to relocate it, just to have the nem move again! Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Idk bout urs but my monti's always recover quickly no matter what i or the compatition do to it. Can u place something between the two till it moves again or u decide wether to move the monti or not. A small piece of plex glass would work. Hope this helps :-)

I know that my RBTA kills everything it lands on needless to say I do not even like the nems but the wife does so they will stay. IMO that cap is in danger. But maybe the green nems do not sting like the rose's do.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be keeping a close eye on things. The plexiglass idea sounds good, but I'm afraid it may damage the monti as well, the rim seems quite delicate.

After all this worries... dead corals, covers on powerheads I finally sold mine and I couldn't be happier! Wife problem get resolved by getting frogspawn (you can get hammer etc) they look close enough. I think nems are great you just need to have dedicated tank for them.

The monti might not get good flow with the cup on. You might want to punch a few more holes on the side to get more water movement through.
