I have 2 clown fish and 3 chromis in my tank. I picked up the chromis today and the one clownfish chased all three of them around. Then later that day, i came back down to check on them and i found all three chromis scales are all torn off.....

what's up with this? i thought clownfish are nice! what should i do?

Clownfish are very aggressive, I am not surprised at what you are seeing. The older they get the worse they get, and once they start to spawn.....

For now, you can try re-arranging some rocks, to reset the territory's.

this sucks ,i dont want to reset the rocks. lol, so that means i have to have all the fishes i want all put in at the same time? should i bring back the aggressive fish? this is the percula breed.

If it's the first day, I would wait it out. Seems like your tank should be large enough for what you have in there now. Give it a few days and see if things settle down. The 3 chromis have numbers on their side and the clown may eventually tire of the constant chase. Once the chromis are familiar with the clown's territory and dominance has been clearly established, relative peace should ensue.

I have perculas and find them to be the lesser aggressive of the clowns. Presuming they've settle down with their territory, and the damsels don't harass them, things should be fine.

We have a breeding pair in a 180 and I only see one chase away an intruder when soneone gets within a few inches of their eggs. Otherwise they're fine.
