Neon gobies

So I got a good batch of rots/phyto going. So I finally tried to let the eggs hatch out. This is the first time. Brood tank and fry tank is on the same system.
This morning I checked and all the eggs were intact. This afternoon I looked and some have hatched on me. I thought they were supposed to hatch after lights out. Also some appear to be dead on the top of the water. Why would they hatch if they were just going to die? Im not totally sure if they are dead because if I keep looking I see on twitch once in a while.

I just added some rots to the water so they will be there when they start eating. Ill see what happens.

Does the cover on the front of the tank need to be black? Can it be brown? cardboard?

I have a pair of blue neon gobies in the tank. Recently, I found some fry hiding under my rics. Transparent bodies with white spot (could be the belly?)

I can only see it when the rics are open fully cos, that way they cover the frys from the fishes in the tank.

How can I tell if the parents are pregnant? Might want to move them to another tank for them to spawn.

Btw, anyone has pics of the babies?

Thanks!!
