Neon goby vs Sharknose goby

I'm adding either a neon or Sharknose goby in my 40 breeder. I was wondering if they are any different in how they act/clean/personality etc... Would like comments from anyone with experience with having either goby singly in a smaller tank. All advice is appreciated, thanks.

I had a pair of ORA hybrid neon gobies in my 30g tall, and they were a riot.
They cleaned every single other fish I had, were always out and about, ate everything and were great fun to watch. I highly recommend them! And I'm hoping to get another pair, soon.
Currently have their red-headed goby, and don't recommend them at all - it spends most of it's day in a cave, only coming out for food, an is pretty aggressive (fin-nipper!), esp. for a cleaner goby!

Some cleaner fish do that. They act like normal cleaner fish seeming to offer to pick off parasites and dead skin. The large fish offers itself. The mock cleaner grabs a nice tasty piece of fin.

Go for the sharknose! I absolutely love mine. Every fish loves him but the moorish idol. He even cleans the dottyback. I plan on buying another one and trying to pair them up. Mine only cost $13 at petco, and he's an ORA fish.

I like both the sharknose and the neon.
They are a must have for my reef.
I find that they help to keep the other fish healthier, and I enjoy their antics.
If you can find opposite sexes, you can keep 2 in a 40 breeder. If you do not get a pair, they may fight, so be careful.
I kept a pair in my 40 cube, and I currently have 4 of them in our 205g.

FYI, I just lost my ORA Neon Goby (e. oceanops) the other day. Little guy jumped through my 1/4" mesh top and landed on top of it. First and last time it ever jumped :(

The cool thing about these fishes as cleaners is that unlike captive cleaner wrasses that can bother other fishes with their insistence, the gobies set up a cleaning station, and will groom their tankmates that come by and line up.

I loved the AM ritual.

i like my neon, he is fun and friendly.
sharknose are bigger so maybe consider the size of your other fish. if it doesn't matter then maybe get the shark so he is easier to see -though my neon hangs on the glass so he is easy to find
