30 to 45 minutes should be fine. Some don't even acclimate their corals except for temp (not promoting that myself since I don't know if that is a safe practice or not) but I acclimate corals like fish, temp acclimate for about 15 minutes, open bag and add water until the SG in the bag matches my tank water. Of course a dip may be in the process too :).

I use Coral Rx for dips.
 
It all depends on what kind of tank you get it from, aka there parameters. If they run their tank with low salinity and what not. I usually do 2 hours to be safe.
 
I always do a drip for about an hour it just seem easier to just put a small bowl into a large container and just let the water in the small bowl overflow into the larger one for about an hour and then dip always dip!!!!!!
