Neptune jr

So my jr has decided to start turning my lights off here and there for random periods of time. My jr is five years old. The control panel still says the channel is on but the lights are off. I think it is an issue with contactors in the dc-8. When I toggle the channel on and off in manual mode I am able to get the light back on. Anybody heard of anything like this?

Try assigning the light to a different channel on the dc-8 and see, if the different channel/plug works then it's the DC-8. Also since it's 5 years old, you might want to upgrade the firmware on it.

If you are using the DC-8 for halide then it's unpredictable because the dc-8 is not designed to run that high of a current. The dc-4 is designed for high current and is better use for halide.

Interesting coincidence, I have a Reefkeeper II and channel 2 or plug number two
is stuck on, the controller says it is turning it on and off but the fuge light stays on.
I moved the fuge light to channel 3 and programmed it, all is well.
Moved the bio pellet reactor to channel two.
I think mine is going on 5 years as well. (Edit 4 years)
Planned obsolescence?
