will there be one? pre-registration date? did NERAC 2015 do well enough to continue on the event?

2015 did very well, even with the snow storm the night before.

Unfortunately there will be no NERAC this year, we were unable to secure the hotel and catering for the times we could hold it; they are booked from mid-Feb thru May.

First and foremost all club events need to follow the clubs bylaws, to promote interest and educate people on topics as they relate to the marine hobby. Our attendance for last years NERAC was one of our best, everyone who attended had mostly positive reviews and looked forward to the next event.

Based on that the event was a success and gives us the incentive to continue hosting NERAC every year.

NERAC is also a fundraiser for the club, bringing in monthly speakers, hosting Family Fun Day and the Holiday party cost the club money to host. We use the funds from dues, raffles at the meetings and NERAC to help pay for these events. Last year, while not a lot, the club lost money hosting NERAC so from that standpoint the club did not do well.

Joe....perhaps the club should raise the price for NERAC with the increase going directly to the club OR maybe we can host a frag swap at our meeting site (instead of holding a meeting 1 Friday)....maybe a $5 admission charge with all proceeds from admissions going directly to the club.
