So I put in about 20 Nerites snails several months ago. They are pretty with the colorful striped shells, and a little annoying when I find several per week that climb out of the tank on to the floor. They seem to survive many days out of the water. Anyway there are hundreds of their sesame seed shaped eggs on all of the rocks and they are beginning to hatch. Now there are many tiny snails. It's pretty neat to see that many but I don't know how many my tank will sustain. I imagine many will turn into part of the sand bed.
Some of the adult Nerites I have are bigger than quarter sized and the babies are the size of a pin head.
Anyone else have them breeding like this?
