Net cover placed underwater?

Hey all,

I have a rimless tank, and made a net cover to stop any jumpers.. but i miss the rimless look now.

I was thinking about making another net cover top, that sits inside the tank, about a quarter inch under the water line. So looking at the tank I think it would look like its open top again.

Anyone ever seen something like this, or forsee any problems this might cause with the fish or anything?

I think it would be even more of an eyesore if actually in the water, many do a cover that sits inside perimeter but flush w/ top, but above waterline.
Clear clips hold in place.
That would be what I would do.

Your netting, when submerged, becomes a fishing net. Depending on the size of your charges and size of the net, it could easily function as a gill net.

Trawl nets catch on underwater obstructions and must be abandoned. Even though the net is no longer moving and is draped over a ships superstructure, it continues fishing. The first fish caught attracts predators and larger fish are snagged.

Would seem to me the net would also attract marine growths/ algae. It would soon stick out like a sore thumb.

Yeah, I think you guys are right. I won't be going down that route hah.
