net stuck in wrasse's mouth

I was transferring a Carpenter's flasher wrasse and he got the net stuck in his mouth. (I'll be using a plastic container next time.) I managed to cut the net close to his mouth to free him but he still has a 2mm piece of net in his mouth. He doesn't seem stressed and is able eat. I was hoping it would come free by itself but it's now been a three days. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

clear catch him, grab him and hold him still, use tweezers to pull off?

Thanks T. I was just about to do try that but the piece of net is gone. I hope he didn't ingest it but he's swimming around fine and is eating well.
