Netting / Screen / Mesh links?

Anybody got links to netting / screen / mesh tank cover builds?

I'm keeping open top, and as Rudy can attest, I need to cover my tank. Fish chips are no bueno.

TIA

I went to Ace and picked up the DIY screen frames (Prime-Line/Slide-Co Screen Frame Kit). for the netting I plan on using shiveley's leftovers from the pond & pool netting he is using (I guess it has smaller holes than the bird netting) but I am not sure where he got it.

If I remember correctly Pete used the same stuff in his build thread.

Thanks so far everybody. Looks like I'll need somewhere in the 5'x2' range when it comes to build time.

Actually, you may not want the one I have since the one I have has smaller holes. I don't think that's a bad thing, but it might block out more light than you want. I'll still bring it by since I need to head your way anyways and you can see if you want it.

If anyone has some extra of the "bird netting," I'd be interested.

Kay - if you want, I can go in with you on some.

some shots of what i hope mine will look like after I build mine (not pics of my tank, images used for reference purposes only):

although, I think my screen size is a bit smaller than the one pictured; which IMO is a good thing.

Mine looks just like that, just a tad sloppier. I used two layers of netting to try and get the hole size smaller, but this made it a bit more difficult to keep nice. Very cheap to build. I think I spent a total of $10 on materials.

I saw the clear, it's under their "nursery" section, however, it doesn't state that it's UV protected while some of the black versions that they offer do.

oops. correction, the clear that I saw on that site was 1/4", not 1/8"...and I didn't see any clear listed on the aquaculture page, those all of that netting material is listed as UV protection... heck, just give them a call.
