Never Again

Never again will i put a dwarf angel in my tank. i got an eibli angel for my tank about a week ago and he was doing great the first day, he was eating formula one so i thought he wouldnt nip at anything but then on the second day i caught him nippin at my brain and scoly so i said, "ok maybe hes just hungry" so i fed him. and then everything was ok he left the brain n scoly alone. but as the week progressed i caught him nippin at my brain and scoly again and then he went for my sun corals, so i told myself he had to go. so i had to tear down the whole tank just to catch him. after i caught him back to the lfs he went. so here we are about 7hours later trying to put my tank back the to the way it was. i just had to vent. thanks guys.

I think those are the very corals that angels eat. Its like being placed at a dinner table with a sizzling steak.

I feel your pain - all my angels were reef safe until I added a brain - the Herald's angel thought I'd put out a buffet table for him

Agree with Kent angels love brains. E.Boreman even mentions this under open brains in his coral book. Also I believe Eible's angels are supposed to be less reef friendly than others. FWIW I never saw the coral beauty or the cherub angel nip at the brain - but I only left it in the tank about 36 hours.

while we're on the subject, i just picked up a lemonpeel angel and i have a few zoo's colonies and a kenya. will he bother these corals?

I just got rid of my Coral Beauty today. She killed two firefish that I just added, nipped SPS and most of my softies. Funny thing is she never messed with my open brain. She also would bully my clowns and not let them into their anemone. I'll never have a dwarf angel again.
