Never Had a Zoo...

I know this isn't exactly what the request was...but I do have questions...

http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1161353

My tank is 18 days old (post-LR)...so I'm still researching livestock.

Zoos are definately on the list.

My SG is sitting at 1.022, but I'm going to raise it to 1. 026 over the next few days.

Can I get the zoos after I introduce the CUC (after I'm sure the tank has fully cycled)? Is there any must-haves or don't-gets for reef beginners?

I'm sure all this info. is available on the forum, ad nauseum...but the search feature wont' work for me...plus I live in the boonies on dial-up...:rolleye1:

zoos are a good way to go for starter coral. make sure you have lighting that will accommodate them and also make sure that your calcium and alkalinity are in the right areas. what kind of salt do you use?

Thanks for the response...I'm using Ocean Pure, it's what my reef store stocks, and the owner is an awesome reefer...the Red Sea Max tank that I have is designed for reefs...so the lighting is quite good as far as I know...

Are all the zoos easy to start with?
