New 12g aquapod setup - any danger adding my zoas shortly after setup?

I'll be setting up my 12g aquapod this week. My zoanthids (about 8 small colonies), have somehting that's not liking them in my main tank attacking them. I have ruled out nudis, sundials but can't get a handle on it. Normally, I mini cycle a new tank with new sand and a cupful of sand from another tank and new live rock. After about a month I'm fine adding stuff. I have LR that has been sitting in a small bucket with circulation, but no light other than the ambient daylight for about 4-5 months. I don't want to add and sand from my other tank, as it has some sand anemonies that I don't want to introduce. I can try to get a cup of sand from a buddy of mine.

Due to the problems that my zoas are experiencing, would you say there are any problems if I dip them and move them over after the pod has been running for a couple of days?

Thanks!
