New 12K Reeflux ?

Reefspecialty.com is local and has the bulbs for $62.95. Mike still has a grand opening discount posted on the site for 10% off, so that brings it down to about $57 and you can pick them up to avoid shipping charges.

No the new packaging for the CoralVue "Reeflux bulbs" are cardboard tubes. Neat packaging and I am sure they are alot less likely to break in the tubes.

Brian--thanks for the reminder to update the thread...The bulbs are working great and they are definately new. In fact, I ordered some more. You just can't beat the price. Including shipping costs, they were under $43/bulb (ord 4).

Maybe you dont have cookies enabled? You have to select Retail. I had problems ordering at first since I went to the product page directly from Google. Try selecting home and starting over.

Just an FYI, they only have 2 400W 12kk's left... He is not going to sell these anymore since he is coming out with a private labeled MH. I dont know anything about that lamp, that's all he said in an email to me.
Sorry to hijack Newschool

just called als.
No more reeflux there.

I am glad that Coralvue did the right thing. The Reeflux bulbs are too good to be degraded by a cheap price. They are every bit as good (or better) than the $80 bulbs on the market. Seeing someone sell them below wholesale pricing is a slap in the face to Coralvue.

I really don't see how selling a good bulb at a really low price would "degrade" the bulb or company.
I doubt that ALS was selling the bulbs at a loss. So they probably bought the bulbs at a very low price too. If Reeflux can design and sell great bulbs at a low price, then that's great for all of us. But too bad for the other bulb manufacturers.
Price does not degrade quality. I think the bulb manufacturers are making a killing as it is. They probably make it for one tenth the price it retails for.

ALS was selling them at almost base cost (a couple $ over their cost). That is not good for business that is why they were cut off. Other stores that are there to make a profit on the items they sell get hurt which in turn will effect Coralvue and us hobbiest.
