New 140 gallon reef tank

So I just tested the water and here are the numbers:
Ammonia - 0
Nitrite - .2
Nitrate - 20

How are these numbers doing after 2 days after part 2?

Does not get much better than that...good job....you will always have some nitrate...20 is pretty low for that much life in a tank in two weeks......

welcome to real live rock and sand!

also...the plants....plant the root ball in the sand...like you would in your garden....

more pics!

When do I need to do my first water change?

How about time line for adding my first fish and corals?

I picked up 2 coris wrasse and a nice hammer coral for my first items. I'll take and post some more pics this weekend when they are out.

Here are a few more pics taken with my Nikon D5200 using the 18-55 kit lens.

My first fish, 2 coris wrasse, this also shows a green/white anemone that came with part 2

Hi Richard, I tested for nitrite in my DT this morning and it looks about .2 using a red sea kit. Just curious on why i'm still showing small amounts of nitrite? I did a 20 gallon change yesterday.

That is much better....there will always be some nitrates....in a reef tank.... .20 is very respectable!
