New 150 Gal Setup LED question

I am about to pick up a 150 gallon aquarium from a guy that has a custom LED fixture above it. The white LEDS he used look like they are 7k to 8k kelvin at best so I would like to replace them. For at or under $1000 what would you suggest for a 60x24x24? I don't need fancy settings, ramping would be nice as well as Apex compatible. I would use T5 but love the shimmer of LED and halides are too expensive and I don't like the excess heat. I don't mind Chinese LEDs because I have bought LEDS and made a DIY light that was awesome!

I have considered Orphek which I like, but pricey. I own a Radion and have it in a box after I brought back my DIY light which works better IMO, and I have seen rapid LEDs Onyx fixture and it looks fairly decent.

Open to any lighting idea or suggestions. DIY is always an option.

I'd do a 32" and 24" fixture from ReefBreeders or OceanRevive or even MarsAqua. Way less than $1000. And the first two will do sunrise/sunset. I have two 32" fixtures over my 180g (6' long). Had them since Dec 2012 and they have run 24/7 ever since.

If you are not opposed to DIY, why not look at something like these:

We used 18 of these over our 300 and supplemented with Cree RB XP-E's. I love the color by themselves (approximately 10k), but it is my roommates tank and he prefers a 20K look. We found that one RapidLED LDD board w/LDD drivers will power 3 of these pucks.

Are your fixtures ReefBreeders or OceanRevive?

Mine were ordered direct from EverGrow with my own custom led layout. That was before OceanRevive and ReefBreeders even existed back in 2012. Today I'd buy from either one as both of their fixtures are made by EverGrow. The new versions have legs which I think are very cool as long as you have enough of a center brace to set the center legs on.
