I just got started in this hobby in 2012, an old fart with only freshwater experience. My threads show this inexperience, painfully, and only now am I to the point where I'm trying to dial in color rather than just keep acros alive. :wavehand:
^ The above was not true, I experienced another instability crash in 2016 and only swearing off GFO and moving to dropper based dosing for everything except the big 3 was I able to enforce a stable environment needed for the acros to grow. These days PO4 removal is via a product called PhosphateRx (Lanthanum chloride, a number of similar products now on the market). I do just a drop of this when PO4 gets a little high, though I rarely test for PO4 anymore.
