i know long post but id love you thoughts and opinions

I'm not sure where you live, but you may want a larger chiller.

What about fans?

3 barracudas? I'd plan on using Eductors to multiply the flow; even if you don't cut the number of pumps. They multiply your flow for nothing. And, we have local people with them on OM's with no problems.

Personally I'd mix the XM10kk's with Coralvue Reeflux 10kk's on HQI ballast instead of the 12kk's you mentioned.

FWIW.

Eductors on am OM unit won't work so well... Look it up.

So far your setup looks like its going to be really nice. Those 'cuda pumps are sweet, powerful and heavy!!

Can't wait to start seeing some pictures when you start getting it.

IMO if your going to run 3 'cudas, you better be doing BB. and while your at it, you will probably have to glue all your rocks down and zip tie you corals to the rocks...

you may want to re-think the pumps you are going to use. thats a TON of flow. your water may not be able to stay in the tank

Who's re-running the electrical in the new apartment? You have 4 high power consumption pumps (3 'cuda and the panworld), 2000 watts of light, a large chiller and 500 watts of heat (not enough IMO depending on where you live). The lights alone should be on their own circuit, the chiller and maybe something small on another, split the pumps and heater along with all the rest of the misc. power requirements (pumps for all the reactors). I don't know of too many apartments that have that kind of circuit diversity/availability, I'd check this all out with your landlord prior to some major purchases.

I must agree with what was said about the 3 'cuda pumps, unlesss you want one for a CL, I'd say drop 2 and run the 2 Tunzes. The streams put out the same in tank flow at a much lower energy consumption and are controllable. If you haven't already purchased the 3 pumps, save your cash on 2 of them (as well as the costs for plumbing) and go with the streams.

Hope this works out for you.

Yeah jerkweed, how are you going to do that? :D BTW Shad (I hope this is Shad), do you want me to mail you th pH controller instead of meeting? It might be easier that way.

ok so im down grading to 3 dart (one for the return, 2 cls)

also mite eliminate the two 250w for 1 400w

i plan on putting eductors on the closed loops' outputs to help with flow.

IMO an ETS900 skimmer is not enough. You should either go with a beckett skimmer or a large recirculating one. Check Barr Aquatics skimmer and deltecs

already have the 900. if after setup i find i need more then ill look into it. the etss900 is rated for up to 300g with the pump i have and downdrafts are supposed to be good for heavily stocked tanks.

i dont have euro bracing and dont want it splashing all over the place. besides i already have what i have and only had to buy the 2 darts for the upgrade.

phosban is a just in case measure. i am adament about my water changes but i plan on having what i consider a heavy bioload so i want it "jic"
