So I was over at JJ's a month ago with my wife and she loved his tank making it possible for me to upgrade. Here are a few pics of the tank it its somewhat finished state. I definitely need more light in the middle and that will be taken care of this weekend.

Good start Jerry! looks like a mini-me tank with it being recessed in the wall like that. Looks like you got some good flow in there for the Barebottom, It will help cut down on siphoning the junk. now just get rid of the softies and lets go SPS dominant! ;). Lets see some pics of the fish room

Are you going to tile around it? It looks like hardyboard around it.

Dang Jerry! Looking nice! You didn't waste any time on getting this puppy going. I like all the coralline algae growth that you have already. Is there a secret that you want to share with us? :D

If you need a reflector for the middle, I hear Allen makes some killer ones out of aluminum foil!

Seriously though, congrats on the tank and it looks like you're off to a great start!

I made it 7 1/2" deep so I can set my beer on it and lean on the wall comfortably.

The tile will be on in a couple weeks.

Trying to remove ALL softies, but the wife is being a little pushy. I am going to keep my red rics for sure, but get rid of the couple of shrooms and the rock with xenia for sure.

I already got 2 from him, so I thought "why not one more?"

Quality craftsmanship that's for sure. :D

I have seen the tank in person (although still cloudy at the time). It is a terrific setup. The in-wall tank is setup as the focal point of the room with all furniture pointing towards the tank. No TV (yet anyway) just reef. I am very impressed.

Is going to be truly awesome when he gets it all setup and grown out!
