new 240

finally after 10+ years of wanting and waiting not always patiently im finally going to set up my dream tank

It'll be a 240 ag with dual overflows 2" sand bed
2 2x 150 hqi 1 over each side
85 gal custom sump/refugium
looking for advice i've only had smaller tanks before
any help would be appreciated

Give us a better idea of what your after and you should get some help.

if it's a 6 or 7 foot (you didn't list your dimensions) your gunna need at least 3 MH's and if it's 30" deep you want 250watt with a good reflector.

do you have any pictures of the tank? 24 tall you could do a Tek T5 retro and be good if you wanted. What are your plans for the tank? FOWLR? SPS? LPS? Softies?

the tank gets here in another week so no pics yet and i'm thinking a mixed sps lps nem tank I have a good mix in my current tank ( the 60) so i'm going to do a transfer of all in there to provide more room . right now the 60 has a current sunpod 2 x150 hqi and i am planning on adding a second over the 240 with either t-5 or pc as a little extra oomph
