New 265g Build

However, I'm still debating turnover rates, flow rates and pump return head and types. This will be my next purchase, and looking hard at the Dart, hence an external pump. If I'm able to find good 40 PVC in gray I will be more likely to do it.

As we spoke about and others said, a quality ATO will give you a peace of mind with a small return section. I have been using one from autotopoff.com. Works great. I only had to clean it once with vinegar in the past year. It has second float switch in case the first one get stuck in the on position. http://autotopoff.com/

The dart should work fine for turnover if you do not gang a million reactors via built in manifold.

Savco has quality plumbing parts. Even black pvc. https://www.savko.com/index.asp?pgid=4&ptid=18&pid=146

Miami Danny looks like you are right around the corner from me if you need any help :). I still consider myself a newbie, but can research with the best of them :)

Guys, my next step is to buy the skimmer, what model and brand do you recommend based on the 265g tank. Just one to get the right one from the start! And after reading so many choices, I'm more confused than before. Thanks for all the support.

for ATO.. i use the ELOS one, its SLICK.

i have the pump sitting in a 5 gallon job of RODI. all i do is fill that once a week.

now you can get Fancy and get the Genesis Reef Systems Renew ROCV + Storm and that will control your RO/DI unit. the RODI water goes into the storm system and that goes above your sump.

If he goes this route guys, he can have an inline TDS meter on his RODI all he has to do is check it every couple of days. ?

I would like to have everything integrated to the APEX when I get it, so are the any Auto top off that would integrate to the APEX that are high quality?
