yeah, manufacturer bulb K ratings are pretty arbitrary. I assume you're aware of this site? great info for comparing bulbs

On a side note, how does it make sense that a 14k or 12k bulb is nearly as blue as a 20k? I thought what determines what kelvin the bulb is where the bulb peaks in spectural output. How can a 12k that peaks at 12k be blue and not bright white??

sorry very busy lately moving and everything just moved my 20g tank over and everything is doing fine, took out the aggressive flame back angel and added a small borbonious anthias!! will post pictures in the next couple of days, and more equipment should be coming really soon and a replacement for my bk sm300 the old one had cracks on it. Also going to call miracles tmr to see how the tank is doing. oh yeah also purchased my live rock got 350lb of some bali rock and going to look for different rocks for the mix

I hope it ships in 2 weeks. I'm using the Radium 20k no T5's. My first tank was acrylic easy to scratch.
