So what I have now in the making is a new tank setup and what I plan on

- 40 breeder
- 6 bulb tek fixture
- tank water from my 55
- rock from 55 so quick cycle
- 20 long sump
- custom stand
I have a a octopus 110 but I might want a bigger one any suggestions? In sump or hang on for space
- coast to coast with bean overflow
Also how how should I hang lights above tank?
My bulbs are
4 blue+
1 purple+
1 coral+

More pics when I get home

Bulbs will be here tomorrow and I'm making stand today, any suggestions on anything that I should include on the build, or add to the setup all comments welcome! Thanks
Also the fixture was 200 with a giessman actinic+
And tank was 40 at petco!

I'll try to keep an eye on this because I have a 40b myself.

I'm using a SRO XP1000 on my tank right now. I have gone bigger in the past, but never seem to pull "consistent" skimmate because they were over sized.

Definitely drill that tank if you can. Not drilling is probably what I regret most about my tank. Space gets eaten up quickly. I would suggest building an overflow box onto the back of the tank similar to this one.

I will be following myself. I also have a Sps dominated breeder with a 20l sump. I have two 250w Phoenix mh over my reef with two B+ T5s.

I am debating on replacing my lighting with a 6 T5 Tek in the spring when it's time to R2 my MH.

I just bought a 1200gph overflow and I'm going to drill 2 holes for a herbie, and one for a return, I also just bought a mag 9.5 and I'm going to run BB, also I'm looking at a NAC6, but not sure of the life of them with the mesh wheel does anyone here have a bubble magus??

Also my bulbs come in today and my light hanger so I'm going to finish up the stand and hang the fixture.. Pictures will follow my other tank is a 55l so it's the worst dimensions so I'm going to make this one as user friendly as possible

I just took down my 90g and got a 40 breeder from petco. I Drilled it and built an overflow box. My return pump pushes around 770gph in my dt. I also have a hydor 1050 gph, and a hydor 750 for circulation. I'm currently running a 120w bridge Lux rgb dimable led. I'll be tagging along

Overflow came in an I drilled the tank two 1 inch bulkheads I'm going to run one full siphon tomorrow I'll make the stand

Stand is done I built it taller and longer than the tank to hide the piping from the side overflow...all I need to do now is add a shelf

So change of plans I got a sicce 3.0 instead of the mag because of heat, also I got a sca-302 skimmer I will be finishing the stand tomorrow and filling the tank

So I have a quick question I'm going to paint the one side I have blue rustoleum should I just paint the side or sand it with 100 grit or get krylon?
I was thinking 100 grit lightly and rustoleum or is the krylon a must

if you sand it, won't it ruin the clearness of it? i'm assuming your talking about the tank? i'd just wipe it down and paint away.

if you were talking about the stand, yea i'd sand it to get it nice and smooth first, then paint.

Yea I was talking about the outside on one side then lay some paint down but I guess I'll just paint it and if it starts to chip ill figure something out
