New 6000 Vibrates

Hi Roger,
I just installed a brand new 6000 with single controller for a friend in his new 130 gallon glass aquarium using the magnetic holder. It made a very audible vibration noise in two pitches, as it alternated between the two speeds. I turned it off immediately, just in case there is something wrong. This does not seem normal, as my own pair of magnet mounted 6000's run very quiet.

Is there anything that I can check in the Stream myself, or should I send it back for repair/replacement?

If I should send it back, should I send it to you or to Marine Depot?

Thank you

It is normal if the pump is brand new, they have to wear in. It also likely has air trapped inside so a good start is to install the drive unit under water, just pull up on the prop, let it fill with water and reinsert it.
