The skimmer would drain back into the tank so a flood should be out of the question. I might just give it a little longer and close the air flow. Check that it isn't possible for the water level to change from a snail plugging an output or intake.
Ah... The snails... Could be. I do have some larger (Turbo) snails that crawl around the returns and sometimes sit on the nozel. And since I dont use those pumps for waves (JBJ Nano Tank) and I've got them to switch between the two every hour it could be a problem if one is clogged --- Could stay like that for a hour..
I'll change the Profilux setting and have them switch like 10 to 20 minutes just to alternate the pumps sooner, that way if one is clogged it wouldnt be for long.
