2 to 3 inches

All Delight, Your polyps are big :). The one I have is at the most 1 1/2" across but it sure puffs up, very very fleshy. My guess is that it can certainly grow bigger if the skeleton on a part of my frag is any indication. I have a fairly large Acan...the pink sparkles from JenDub and it is more like an inch across, quite fleshy as well but nothing compared to this guy. According to the Veron books those Acan maxima polyps get quite large. Jury is still out on this guy but I still lean to the lobo side of the fence.

I bought these as acan maxima a few months ago. These fit the description of green to grey, drab colors.......

But there is always the debate that no one can get them. I got em'. hahaha

Those do look a lot like the pics of Acan maximas I have seen posted from coral reference sitations. Lots of heads :). I guess the bright colos of our unidentified piece may be an indication that lobo is most likely.

Maybe huh? I did pay alot for it, but this is the first time I posted a pic of it.

Seems like whenever someone posts something about a Acan Maxima, they get flamed :)

Maybe I'll frag it and spread the seeds.......

That does seem to be the way it goes on some of those Acan maxima threads. This one has gone fairly well :D. Although I am not making any claims that this is an Acan maxima so that is probably why it has stayed nice and informative. When you get ready to spread the seeds let me know ;).
