New acan with bubble algae

Just received in the mail an ultra acan with green bubble algae attached. I am going to try to remove the acan from the frag plug. I always dip in Coral RX and Bayar. Will this kill any leftover algae spores hidden in the glue area? Is there another product that will kill the algae?

I used Algaefix from API to treat my tank that had the little green clusters, my 120 was covered in it, someone how they lost there footing and would float into my circulating pumps and I would have to clean them forever, they have not comeback either.

Thank you so much! I just treated it with Coral RX and Bayer. They are in QT now. I will call Petco and Petsmart to see if Algaefix Marine is in stock otherwise I'll order it online.

Merry Christmas/happy holidays!

I know it works for zoas.. I'm not sure about acans... but i had a few zoa frags with gha on them.. I dipped them for about 5 minutes in 50/50 tank water and peroxide.. p.oed my zoas for about an hour... killed the algae instantly

What I have done in the past is to carefully scrape as much of the bubble algae off as possible (outside of the tank so it doesn't spread all over) and then carefully drip a little straight H2O2 on the affected area being careful to keep it off the acan itself. let it soak out of the water like that for 5 minutes or so, give it a quick rinse in a cup of tank water and then put it in the tank.
