New addition what is it???

Well the Ritteri died today. For some reason it remained deflated, and eventually disintegrated.

I am so freaking ****ed right now. My water parameters were good...I have the lighting and the flow. I also made a rock "cave" on top of the pedestal shown in the pictures above so that I could have some shade.

There was a single baby percula hosting in it happily.

This is total bullsh*t and I absolutely hate all of the know-it-all fat single men on this board who make comments like "these are expert level anemones, maybe your calc fell by 2 mg" or something moot like that so just save it.

It died because it lacks the ability to change conditions once settled, only a few specimens can survive.

sounds like someone needs his poopy diaper changed.
your explanation for it's death is moot.

read through your own old threads.......you want to put 10 tangs and some clowns in a 280g........with a Ritteri????

First off, if are serious about your tank, junk that hydrometer/swing arm. Get a refractometer as they are well worth it and always dead on unless you drop it or mishandle it which than it may need a calibration.(I still recommend once a year checking it with either someone elses and compare results or a calibration solution). They are cheap on ebay and run around 40.00 or sometimes less shipped to your door. Also depending on what you had for a bioload previously before adding the mag makes a big difference. If you had a light load and than add it, your system will have to work way harder to get through the natural cycle that you seem to know everything about and it probably caused a mini cycle or sometimes I have seen/heard a fatal tank crash. That's only one aspect to think about and could have been a ton of other things besides that as I don't know anything about your system or your habits of maintenance etc.

My current system is a 75G mixed reef tank with a large variety of softies/LPS and housing a S. Gig and H. Mag that are both large in size.

Here is a picture from my setup about a month or so ago
