New additions

Today it was 8" long, 7" wide and 4" tall. This thing is huge, I am still waiting to see it fully open. I do think I'll turn it before I put lights on in the morning. My female maroon keeps sand storming because she doesn't like where it is. :hammer: So we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Ya and the little Napoleon complex and 100% butthead is avoiding all of my attempts to catch him. Maybe I can blind him with a very powerful flash light and then scoop him with the net after lights out.

Exactly like I told u, works with them every time, I was gonna do it to mine, but didn't have to, he's good for the most part lol

Miguel, I'm actually thinking that my 40b is probably too small for the Cherub. He zooms back and forth all day long and is constantly going after my McCoskers wrasse and tries bullying my maroon clowns. The female is a good 3" the male around an inch and a half. Both clowns ignore him LOL which makes him angry as hell.

I moved my elegance a little so will see if Queen B will stop fanning sand and that it opens up more.

I was looking at elegance corals on Google images and saw one that completely filled up a 40b. This was a 3' elegance that was easily 18" wide if not more because it completely filled up the tank.

Well I turned the elegance slightly so it would stop bugging Queen B and it looks happy. Like I said Queen B is a 3" fish, you can see her behind the elegance in this picture.

No she isn't being hosted by the Elegance, she is an inch or two behind it. She is still moving sand all over the place and I'm about to kill her :hammer: I put a rock in the opening where she was fanning the sand and that B picked it up and moved it. I'll post pictures of the rock before I move it back or get a bigger one to try and stop her from fanning my elegance. She also moved a coral frag across the tank from where I had it. This fish is out of control and I guess I need to catch her first and not worry about the Cherub.

I do have one Hector's goby which gets a mouthful of sand and filters it through his gills. But that's not why my sand look so good. Oh no, couldn't be that. It's the Queen B fanning my sand so it's all nice and pretty :hammer: Did I say that I hate her or that I want to kill her :hammer: Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

The rock that is to the right of the elegance was behind it a few inches underneath the arch where she is now. She also moved 3 frags from where I had them and dumped them across the tank just laying in the sand. She also knocked over my Duncan colony as well as my gold torch. :hammer: I'm going to do my hardest to catch her and move her to the sump today.

She attacks me but doesn't draw blood. I'm going to catch them both tonight and put them up for sale. They are after all a bonded pair of yellow stripe clowns. From what I have read they are hard to pair up as bonding seems to be an issue with the female tearing up the males. They also are very fast to be hosted by any bubbletip they see.

I don't think she's happy being in my smaller 40b tank, she came from a 125. I'm pretty sure that is the problem.

Yes I'm sure that's the problem. Too bad because they are a beautiful bonded pair. Dive right into any BTA, as the BTA is their natural host. Well I posted them in the sale section. The thing is it's so hard to get Maroons to bond as the female is usually very picky on the male. So hopefully someone with enough tank will get them. I was told that this is a wild caught pair.

Well I finally caught both of the maroon clowns after lights out. It was a chore actually. I had to move a large rock that was next to the rock where the anemone was so I could get the net in there.

I shined a very bright flashlight on her but she was facing away and swam off. Well the male was caught with the lights in his eyes and I netted him easily. SO in the sump he went. Then I went after her and she had swam around to the side of the tank and once the lights were in her eyes netting was easy. So they are both in the sump waiting on someone who wants them. I hope I can find a new home for them soon.

New FTS with the maroon clowns are out. My tank is so much happier with them removed and they will be happier since they have found a new home. More on that later today.

I'm playing with the lighting on my tank so I can take better pictures. So much better of a picture, don't you think? I think I've got some more playing to do. It looks fantastic in person.

See what happens with it a little larger.

Edit: Making the picture larger in the file makes no difference it seems on an upload and what the view is. Now to go play around more with the lights to get the colors closer to what they really are in the tank.

Working on a few more. See how this comes out.

OOPS, wrong picture. Seems like you can't remove a picture once it's been posted.
