Please share your opinion on my fish

Please share your opinion on my fish

I am looking forward to hear how other FO and FOWLR hobbyist think of my tank!

While joecc came across rather bluntly, he is pretty spot on. That tank is way too tiny for the fish you have in there. Most people tend to house clown triggers by themselves it seems, due to their super aggressive nature. You need a tank close to 300 gallons probably, for the size those fish get.

Please consider returning/rehoming the triggers, don't think many would agree with the stocking of that tank.

Cool fish, but I'd have to say I agree with the others. Your tank just isn't suitable for housing triggers. Just the clown and blueline can get around 18"+ and really need a 300+ gallon tank.

Temporary Stock

Temporary Stock

Thank you all for your comments, I only plan on keeping these fish in the tank for the most of 6-9 months then restocking with smaller baby versions!! All of the fish get along and are very well fed so everyone is a good neighbor

I love looking at the fish in the tank I think their beautiful

Your tank is way too small for those triggers.

Start over, now

I plan on starting over every 6 months next time with tangs, angelfish, exotic clown fish, foxface, butterfly fish, oh yeaaa

i dont really consider tank size because i dont plan on keeping the fish in the tank for very long

Honestly FO tanks get boring to me after a certain period of time after stocking them so its fun to start over and pick a whole new variety

When i do take these guys out im going to get a baby emperor angel, blue hippo tang, flame angel,Purple Tang, Powder Blue Tang,A pair of maroon clown fish, foxface, assortment of star fish, and a raccoon butterfly fish, ohh and maybe some golden trevally's

please start reading about triggers and angels, aggression, tank size, and the qt process etc...everything about this set-up is wrong...

You can't tell anybody anything in this forum. People gonna buy fish they have no business owning. When the trigger kill everything maybe he will learn.

LOL triggers grow 2 inches in a year im only keeping them for 6-9 months they will be fine, all the fish in my tank get along great, I over feed everybody in there so there all fat and happy.

I hope I would be around to catch it on video lol.. the blue line trigger is my favorite hes from Africa. Like i said everyone eats so much everyone gets along. Every once in a while i get some new snails and hermit crabs they keep the triggers really occupied lol every once and awhie ill pick up an anemone the clown fish love that, but i cant keep them over a month so i only get one once every like 3 months.. my zebra eel hasnt escaped and honestly anyone who comes to my house is like your tank is awesome man, even people at the LFS looking at videos and pictures, and other friends in the hobby

Not to mention the Fuscus Trigger most definitely can hold his own and with out a doubt so can the clown trigger if the clown fish get eaten they were 30 bucks for 3 of them, no big deal and the damsels well i hope they eat them lol pesty buggers, and the hum huma was only 30 bucks i wouldnt mind replacing him for a real picasso trigger with some great contrastig colors

Ultimately Im looking forward to getting rid of all the fish in this tank besides the eel and get a pair of exotic clowns, 3-4 tangs, baby emperor angel foxface and flame angel, im going to enjoy what i have now before i switch to the beautiful but ich prone set of fish, maybe i will switch up every season like for the summer i will have these guys and for the fall i will switch to the community tank then when the winter comes around start over with a baby 8-10 inch tessalata eel then in the spring back to trigger fish through the summer. i like that alot

How big are your triggers right now, the 3 you have now are slow growers. I crack up with the bull here when people post how their trigger grew 4" in a year, and none of them reach their full adult size in an aquarium, not even close. I've kept triggers in tanks as small as 40g for 2-3 years, the 3 you have grow about a 1/2-1" max a year. If you are interested to see I'm growing a couple babies now, yeah that's a baby fuscus. But I grow them up, hand feed them, then get them a wonderful home in huge aquariums, they are so much more social(for a trigger) being tank raised.

Thank You

Thank You

Thanks man for a second i was starting to think no one bends the rules thats on this site lol, next time i do an aggressive tank im going to get babies and watch them grow for a longer period of time, all of my triggers are between 3-4 inches.

I love there verocious appetite and beautiful patterns, i expeced some fish police to be trolling the site looking for guys that have fish that their tanks dont follow the guidelines related to size, im not phased by it, in the end of the day im going to stock my tank the way i like it and when the fish outgrow the tank im just going to restock it with new fish

Your fish look awesome, how many times a day donyou feed them, and what tyoe of predator food are they eating at that size?

The clown trigger is going to kill every fish in there. Get a clue, your responses to the peole telling you it will not work, are absurd
