New alien eyes and my other zoos

Well i've become victim to AEFW, and that has renewed my interest in zoos. So many colors and much easier to care for. I've got a QT tank setup to treat the AEFW so my display has been slowely transforming into a LPS/zoo tank.

Just rec'd my frag of alien eyes from yoshid9 this week and they are awesome!! So i thought i'd post em up here and took some good pics of my small zoo garden.

haha ... welcome back to the side of good those sps are the dark side. (yes I'm halfway in the dark side myself)

I had a AEFW scare myself. was told someone who traded with me had a bad infestation. I feel your pain and wish you the best!So far I havnt found any though (knock on wood)

LOL thanks! I only have a handful of infected acros so i hope the dip and QT tank i've almost finished will kill off all those suckers. Hope you don't find a single one in your tank, they are nasty buggers.

Had them and they reduced my acro population by about 90% (more correctly, the treatment reduced them, but I had to have done something wrong in the treatment). I now use TMPCC for everything except zoas... I'm still stuck in the dark side, but will be getting my fill of the dark side, then will stop. I say that about zoas, too. It never ends. A 120 is being set up this weekend for my LPS and zoas...

Nice shots. Those are def. some good ones to start with.

the alien eyes look great, miles! sorry to hear about the aefw problem-- that's actually the reason why i'm getting back into zoas, as well. i'm much too worried about getting redbugs and aefw to buy too many frags or anything anymore.

Yah they do! I was very impressed, thank a ton.

The aefw problem seems to only be getting worse. Very unfortunate, i really like my colored sticks.

very nice zoos! are you keeping the alien eyes down low for a few weeks??? i got some from danny too and they are only partially open. i'm just wondering if there is something i can do to get them to open up like yours....???

It is becoming an epidemic, people trade to freely knowing that they have had them & thinking blowing them off or FW exit will get rid of them. I compiled a list of all the members in my reef club who have said they "had" them & "gotten rid of them" using natural preditors while blowing them off & FWE.

The list covers 3/4th of a whole college rule lined piece of paper & I've seen most of them activly selling and trading.

But sorry to hi-jack the tread...back on topic... I cant waite to see those colonies growing out! its gonna look amazing!

I have them on the sand currently. They opened right up when i got them in the tank.
