New and better book than Giant Claims?

I was just going to order the Giant Clams by Daniel K. but I noticed that it is several years old and some of the comments was that it is to scientific. Can anyone suggest a different book to read?

modern coral reef volume 4 is due out any day and it is too deal with molluscs. Hopefully it will have a lot on clams
