Hey all! I got my first anemone a few days ago at the LFS and it quickly made itself at home in my substrate. Can anybody ID it? Here are some pics. It's kinda hard to see since it expanded out onto my glass. So far it's doing really well. The lights I am using for now are 4 VHO actinics. Thanks!

^^^ Cool, thanks. Is that it? Should I really have to do anything extra for it? This is my first time having an anemone. I feed my tang brine shrimp, seaweed and a little bit of flake food every day. I also put in a pinch of pellets for the inverts. Since the clowns are so small, I have to feed them a pinch of cyclopezze in the evening. Should I target feed the anemone something special once in a while?

A piece of raw table shrimp, scallop, squid or silverside about the size of the anemones mouth, twice a week would be a good starting point.

I have the same anemone in my tank, It was sold as a sand anemone.

*edit*

Expect it to move around ur tank and expand its collumn. Make sure you cover your powerheads if you have any!

Picture perfect M. doreensis or long-tentacle anemone. Very healthy one too. It should stay down in the sand like that as long as you have decent lighting. Looks like your tank conditions are very good for him to acclimate so quickly.
