Is it normal for a clown fish to try and host in a new anemone after being in a less then fifteen minutes?

Some clowns take to anemones faster than others.

both of mine were in the nem within 1-2 minutes. the nems didnt even get a chance to open up. now they never come out.

Yeap, my tomato clown took refuge in less than 5 mins.

it really depends.

in my old tank, my Premnas took a couple of days to find my BTA - and its they prefered host.

it was a big tank ( 180g ) , dont know if that had some influence.

after "finding" the BTA, for 5 years they didnt move more than 2 inches from the nem and happily layed eggs after eggs like clockwork
