new anemone

i have a clarkie and just got a new anemone. its small - not sure which kind but its bright white and very common. it has short tenticles. my clown keeps nipping at the anamone- is he just testing the waters to see if he likes it?

Pics would be helpful to id the anemone and see if it is a clownfish hosting species or not.

in a sense, your clown is doing exactly what you are suggesting. It will probably be hosting very soon
