New Apex doing strange things

Hi all,

I just got my new Elite on Friday. I was able to set it up to work with my network (wired). I was going to start programming my outlets when I discovered that none of the EB8 outlet had power. I tested each with a volt meter and a regular table lamp. I could, via the compter and the display, turn each outlet on and the status would indicate that it was on, when in fact there was no power. (I also would assume that 4 & 8 would "click" when activated - since they are relays, they don't). The EB8 has a solid green status bar, and does go through the boot process of the flashing and solid yellow/greens.

Next problem, the controller status is also green - but then the display started flashing all differnt screens, then all symbols, then blank and back again, just cycling different screens. When I press the select button the menu will appear but you can not select any items from the list, if you do, it goes into the feed timer then blank.

The firmware is 4.04.

any ideas?

I want to be sure you are in the correct place. You purchased an Apex; correct? I'm only asking because there is no 'Elite' in the Apex model set but there is for another mfg and the suggestions will be very different depending on the controller.

First think I would suggest; if this is an Apex it to perform an Init AquaBus devices; either from the display (system menu) or the web page (misc page).

yup it's an Apex.. don't know where the elite came from out of my head. At any rate Curt is helping me... thanks..
