New aquarium parameters

The tank will be too small for the Blue tang (hepatus). Good to get it as a juvenile. Some are known to eat coral, but less likely to if you get as a juvenile and feed it good with meaty food. Purple firefish good, just make sure you have a top on the tank (they jump) and must have a mated pair. The bicolored blenny is generally a good choice, but is known to nip at large polyp stony corals and clams when hungry. They may also nip at the firefish.

Perculas are the good all around choice.

quick question guys..I"m in the same boat....I put the shrimp in the sump...is it better to just put it in the tank? If so, why?

you have to start the cycle with food to decompose and trigger the bacteria or dose ammonia.

just having the liverock sitting in water... youll just have rocks in water. pet rocks LOL

i didnt get past my nitrite spike til after 1.5 months, just about the time i got my diatom bloom. which was shortly after o started checking and dosing calcium and magnesium.
