I had a lot of dead spots with the old scape that i dont have now. Also more room for corals and fish. I also got a hairy crab the size of a quater out. And cleaned my sump. O ya I also lowered my lights from 12 to 7 inches. Im pretty happy with it, what do yall think?

THnax. THe tank is a 58 gallon and those are my two bartletts. THey are still both female though, waitin for one to trransform.

Agree! I really like how you reefscaped both. The NEW one gives you much more surface area to place corals:)

Thanx guys, all my family and friends liked it better before and when I tried to explain my theroies they just sayed, "ya i guess". I knew u RC guys would appreciate it a little...

uhmm.. i like both. I like the new one because of all the open water. However, not many fish will fill the spacious areas you've created. It also looks less stable. Like it could collapse at any minute. If you could combine the two ideas, you'd hit it on the head.

Its pretty stable, all the rocks on the left side were drilled and stacked on pvc. The right side does have a few iffy spots but I epoxied most of them and it has a strong base.

What do you mean by "not many fish will fill the spacious areas"?

was it easy to drill and stack the rocks? im planning in doing the same thing. can you explain more of how you did it. with the pvc and all.

I just got a power drill and a drill bit the size of the pvc your wanting to use and drill. I used 1/2 PVC, but i dont think it really matters. IT is pretty messy and I think I lost a lot of life on my rocks but it looks kool. After you drill the rock just slide the PVC through the hole and bingo. Also be carelful not to drill to close to the sides or the rock might break because it is very porus. One more thing make sure the weight isnt on one side or it might lean over.

Make sure you sort of plan out what your gonna do first, thats a biggy.
