1) I have a chocalte chip star fish which I have been told by some that it is not a good idea to have in the tank. My tank has two clown fish(clark & maroon), coral beauty, two manadrin, yellow tang, 5 anemones, nice size snail, and a couple of little starfish. I had a clam but we are afraid that the starfish may have eaten it.

2) Now my snail I think is laying eggs. It looks like a bunch of tiny marshmallows all stuck together on the glass with the snail. Is there a special way to take care of this to make sure nothing happens to them or is it even a good idea that this is happening? Will the other fish eat them?

3) I have seen two times these little worms that are a pink color and have like spikes on them. What are they? Are they harmful?

Thanks
Lisa

choc chip star is not considered reef safe.

the snail eggs will not cause harm and will probably get eaen in a day or two. (saves a bit on the food bill) :)

sounds like bristle worms fo the most part they are scavengers. good for the tank IMO

By the way...my lfs said that the bristleworms would sting the fish at night. We went ahead and purchased a tube for catching these worms and so far have caught about at least 40 in less than a week. I did not want to take a chance.
