New ATO functions

In firmware 4.01 we have these new functions:
- ATO can be limited to be active only at certain times - this is the solution for some cases which have been discussed here recently
- ATO with 2 sensors - water is only refilled if 2 sensors signal a too low level at the same time (more safety)

oooo nice :) I was just at the site and could not locate the next firmware and profilux controle, is these available now?

hey Matthias could we get a exemle on how to use these new feature with the PL for the AWC, ATO, timmer and the S power sockets?

What pump(s) would you recommend for AWO? Would the GHL dosing pumps be the best option?

Thanks,
Ken

AWO? do you mean ATO (Auto top-off) or AWC (Auto water change)

I use an aqualifter for my ATO seems to work fine with the float, probably be even better with the optical sensor.

It really depends on the amount of water you want to change. Do you want to do it per day, week or month and what quantity of water?

Sorry, I meant AWC.

With a 120g tank, I was thinking of 15g to 20g a week. If it was automatic, it could be 2g to 3g daily. I'm just not sure of the best way to set this up.

Ken, I use two dosing pumps to do a 3g water change daily. I have two 55 gal drums, one with RO/DI and one with Saltwater.
I mix new saltwater every two weeks. I have a 300 gallon system total and I change about 100 gallons every 4 weeks.

Well the dosing pump should cover your needs, you can look at one off my previous post to see how it's done.

You can do it with timers, but you don't have to use two sockets if you just use the dosers.
I just feel that with the socket, I feel like I have more control. Like the way I'm doing it I really know that I am throwing out old water and not freshly added water. For instance my setup pump from midnight ti'll 4 am old water, and then my other pump fresh from 4:00 ti'll 8:00 so that way I am not pumping freshly added water in the tank to the drain. With the dosing setup, you could be pumping you freshly added water into the drain even tough it's unlikely to happen.

Your eyes are good Chris even i missed that!

Nice one Matthias, cat sort of out the bag now really:eek:

Are we allowed to ask what the SWM bus is also?

Keep up the good work, the profiLux is just leaps and bounds beyond anything now.
